"Tell me the old, old story" is a four hour workshop about personal evangelism. It can be held on one day, over lunch, or on two evenings on consecutive weeks. It is for anyone who feels that evangelism is for someone else... "Tell me the old, old story was developed because, whilst there was material about what Christians should be doing, there was material about what Christians should be doing, there was very little material about what CHristians could be saying. There seemed to be nothing that said: "you could say it like this...", "use these words. Using a traditional hymn, local statistics, friendship, testimony and example, this workshop enabled people to practice speaking about what they believed and why.

This workshop was first run in the Tynedale Circuit of Newcastle District in Spring 2006 and resulted in those attending recognising that they did have a story to tell and that they could both be excited by it and grow in confidence in their own ability to tell it to someone else.
